Civil Disobedience

Civil Disobedience, is the active, professed refusal to obey certain laws, demands, and commands of a government, or to get international power.  Civil disobedience is mostly nonviolent.  It was first brought about by Egyptians. Civil disobedience is one of the ways people have rebelled against what they think to be unfair laws. Thoreau's 1848 essay named Civil Disobedience, has had a huge influence on many later things of civil disobedience. The main idea behind his essay is that citizens are responsible for their support of aggressors, even when its required by law.
Even though they know they could, and probably would get punished for it, they still attempt to bring changes to the law.  In my opinion, if you believe in something never give up, take a stand until you get it. (:

  3. What does it mean to be responsible for the support of aggressors, even when required by law? I like this post because it begins with your understanding of civil disobedience. Work now on defining a narrower topic for your research. :)
